Annual Easter Egg Hunt 2018

Each year our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on Thursdays, a few days before Easter Sunday.  The children are involved in the process as they color the eggs, make Easter-related art work throughout the weeks leading to the egg hunt.  The children look forward to this event and all of our families and siblings are invited to join us.  This year, the weather cooperated and sunshine was all over the place!  Special thanks to our teachers, families and volunteers for making this happen every year.

Our Assistant Director, Michelle Krehl, volunteers for Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation (AHWF).  It is through her where our partnership with the foundation flourished.  Every third Friday of the month, a team of volunteers from AHWF comes to the school and bring a few dogs over to visit with the children.  Their visits provide a unique experience for the children as they are exposed to animals, specifically dogs, on a regular basis.  The dogs from AHWF are rescued from many Asian countries as well as local rescues.  This experience allows the children to learn that compassion and kindness are not just meant for human beings, but also towards animals.  The children are shown how to approach rescued dogs as well as how to walk them on a leash in an indoor setting.  We are always grateful for the opportunity to partner with local businesses in our area.
