The Nurtury would not be the success it is without parental involvement. Nurtury parents are encouraged to participate in numerous school activities, such as field trips, parent work days, fundraising events, and just plain fun (our annual picnic, Snow Day, reading as part Dr. Seuss Week). Parents are required to volunteer a minimum of 24 hours a year to the school.

One of the benefits of this participation is that families get opportunities to interact, socialize, and become friends. Alumni parents have told us that when their children went on to kindergarten, they missed the sense of community that is woven into The Nurtury experience.

The Nurtury’s board of directors is made up entirely of current Nurtury parents. Each class has a parent representative sitting on the board, and these reps are available to assist parents new to The Nurtury and to answer questions.
